Tomorrow, Feb. 13, Fifty Shades of Grey will open in theaters nationwide, and if the plethora of reviews rolling in are any indication, there are going to be a lot of disappointed fans. We already know that in order to snag that R rating the BDSM scenes detailed in the book were going to have to be completely watered down. That means that in order for fans to leave the theater feeling satisfied, the chemistry and connection between Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, who portray Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, better be dead on. Unfortunately, according to all the early lukewarm reviews, it is not there.

We had heard a few months ago that the two had returned to Vancouver to film more scenes because what they had was not quite hot enough. At the time insiders were saying Johnson came across like a "dishrag" onscreen acting opposite Dornan. What is interesting now, though, is that many are saying that she is actually the reason to watch this film because she does a great job of portraying Ana, the ingenue.

Unfortunately, even if she is doing a good job in character, Johnson cannot force chemistry with Dornan if it is really not there.

"Despite the blandness of their moments together, Anastasia can't help but be seduced by this handsome billionaire who buys her expensive gifts, orders her around and creepily appears when she least expects it. It's a perverted twist on a Cinderella tale. The film is being touted for steamy elevator sex scenes. Mostly, however, the pair just repeat each other's names as elevator doors close," says Claudia Puig of USA Today.

Now that the reviews are beginning to roll in and they are not spectacular, will you be heading to the theater to check out Fifty Shades of Grey for yourself, or will you wait until it is available on Netflix to check it out? What is interesting is that not one but two sequels have already been green-lighted.

Do you think that they will really come to the big-screen if Fifty fizzles? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below.
