Tiffany Monique, the backup singer for Beyoncé, the Queen Bey, is currently battling cancer. Monique -- full name Tiffany Monique Riddick -- has been keeping her followers in the loop of her progress on Facebook.

Beyoncé shared her support by recently posting a photo of Monique with the message, "We love you Tiffany. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Love, Beyonce."

Monique is the soprano singer for Beyoncé's backup singers The Mamas. In 2013, she and her fellow backup singers described what it is like working with Beyoncé and The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour. Monique discussed the importance of The Mamas's choreography.

"You can't be with Bey and not have steps, now," she said.

In an interview with New Jersey Monthly in 2013, Monique discussed growing up in Newark and visiting New Hope Baptist Church to hear Whitney Houston sing.

"From watching Whitney, I learned that little church girls from the ghetto could ascend to the grand stage," she told New Jersey Monthly.

Monique graduated from William Paterson University with a degree in communications/journalism. She began singing background for various artists "sporadically." Her first major gig was singing backup for Mariah Carey in 2002.

Prior to becoming one of The Mamas in 2007, Monique sang backup for stars Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson and Anita Baker.

Monique discussed all the glamour and "stage makeup" and "stage hair" that comes with The Mamas job, but she noted it is a major change of pace when she is at home with her son.

"When I'm at home, I'm in a ponytail and sweatpants and Uggs," she told New Jersey Monthly. "It's funny, because at my son's school, some people know what I do for a living, and they see me dropping him off, looking like any other house mom."

Fans and supporters of Monique continue to send well wishes her way.
