Trinidad Jame$ recently appeared on CNN with Don Lemon. The two discussed the use of the N-word, with the "All Gold Everything" rapper defending its use in his music.

Lemon introduced the rapper, first mentioning the video of Sigma Alpha Epsilon's house mother saying the N-word as she recites lyrics to the song that catapulted Jame$ to superstardom and landed him a reported $2 million record deal with Def Jam.

Jame$ mentioned that he saw the video back in 2012 following the release of the record but decided not to speak out on it because "life is just so much bigger than that." He noted the woman's age and that she may have been under the influence of alcohol, but says singing the lyrics "tickled her because she knows where she came from."

Lemon then went on to question Jame$ on entitlement of the N-word and who is actually allowed to use it. The Trinidadian rapper said that he's far more concerned with the young and the SAE fraternity members' racist chant video.

As the controversial CNN Tonight host pressed for a more solid answer, Jame$ suggested a complete elimination of the word.

"If we have a problem with the word and it's going to continue to cause things, we should eliminate the word period," he said. "Because if we're going to use the word, then people are going to use the word."

Lemon saw things from a different perspective saying the word has too much power and should be used sparingly.

Things got pretty interesting when Marc Lamont Hill and Ben Ferguson lent their opinions to the conversation. Check out clips from Trinidad Jame$' CNN stint after the jump.

Back in January, fellow Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz appeared on Nancy Grace and debated marijuana legalization with the boisterous talk show host.
