U.K. dubstep-electro trio Nero have unveiled a new single in close to a year: "The Thrill." Premiered by Annie Mac on BBC Radio One as the hottest record in the world -- saying, "Wow. What a track. It's just massive ... I absolutely love it." -- producers Dan Stephens, Joe Ray and vocalist Alana Watson deliver another powerful single showing the evolution of their sound.

The first tune since 2014's "Satisfy," Nero continue to slowly tease new music in the aftermath of their 2011 album Welcome Reality. Nero combines elements of pop, rock and electronic music, into a driving power-ballad.

The tune hinges on production work from Stephens and Ray as they craft powerful, metal-influenced synths and booming drums before softening their grip on the listener's ear drums to make way for Watson's verse: "It's impossible to see all the things we used to be / it's impossible to say why I always feel this way / Yes, I know, ot's OK / but they don't know if I can."

The trio announced the single earlier in the week when they broke their social media silence with a simple tweet with the name, date and time of the premiere on BBC Radio One. Fans have been buzzing ever since and they have not been disappointed.

Fans eagerly await the group's sophomore artist album, which, according to a now-deleted tweet sent out by Stuart Hawkes at the famed mastering studio Metropolis Studios in London, was being finished in February and "Is definitely worth the wait."

According to a press release, the trio will use their headlining slot at Coachella next month to premiere new music from the upcoming, still untitled, album.
