As "Uptown Funk" sits at the top of the charts for the 11th week, you would think you've heard the Bruno Mars/Mark Ronson every which way, but you haven't heard it quite like this. In the parody we didn't know we needed but surely deserve, the Dark Lord has gotten a hold of the funky Uptown Special track and giving it a Voldemort themed makeover that's sure to make wizards across the world shiver with fear. Oh yes, there's a new Harry Potter themed "Uptown Funk" special, fittingly titled "Dark Lord Funk."
Stating that the "Dark Lord will funk you up," the new parody embraces all things spooky about Harry Potter and the Death Eaters, even trading out the first part of the song from "doo" to "doom."
Saying that he has the power to make new Horcruxes and make headmasters retire and rattling off all kinds of Unforgivable curses left and right, the parody calls for the death of Harry Potter using the Elder Wand.
"Dark Lord funk you up / Dark Lord funk you up / Curse, just cast it / If you got the mark just cast it / If you're Pureblood / We'll take it," the fake Voldemort cooly sings over the signature beat that pop music fans have come to know and love over the last few months.
