Lana Del Rey has teamed up with "Uptown Funk" hitmaker Mark Ronson for her upcoming fourth studio album Honeymoon. Speaking to Q-Tip in Interview magazine, Ronson revealed that the two recently hit the studio while he was in Los Angeles.

"I'm doing to do some recording with Lana Del Rey today and tomorrow," he said at the time. "I found this cool old studio out here."

He said he was unsure whether he'd be producing the singer but explained that Del Rey "has some songs and I said I had some demo ideas, and if they are any good, then maybe she'll like them and we'll go from there."

Vague as the details of their collaboration may be, it makes perfect sense for the two to team up. Del Rey is an outspoken fan of Amy Winehouse, and Ronson produced the late singer's iconic Back to Black LP.

It'll be interesting to see whether Ronson's contributions mark a return to the darker, gloomier sounds of Del Rey's debut Born to Die or whether she'll continue with the warmer sound she went with on last year's Ultraviolence.

However, Del Rey did speak with Billboard in January about the upcoming album, which is tentatively slated for an August release, noting a "noir" vibe.

"It's very different from the last one and similar to the first two, Born to Die and Paradise. I finished my last one [Ultraviolence] in March and released it in June, and I had a follow-up idea," she told them. "It's growing into something I really like. I'm kind of enjoying sinking into this more noirish feel for this one. It's been good."

She also mentioned that she's recording covers of "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" and Jessie Mae Robinson's "The Other Woman."

Next month, Del Rey will embark on a North American tour with support from Courtney Love and Grimes. See the dates below.
