If you love Adam Levine and Maroon 5, that's totally OK and understandable, but that doesn't mean you have to bum rush the Voice coach on stage during one of his concerts. Unfortunately one fan at the Anaheim, California, stop on the "Sugar" band's V Tour had to learn a sense of boundaries the hard way.
Earlier this week, Levine and his band were performing to thousands of rabid fans, but there was one girl who was a bit more "Animal" than the others. She bum rushed the stage to hug(?) the singer, resulting in one of the more cringe-worthy concert videos of the year.
After a few seconds of a weird side-hug and plenty of side-eyeing from Levine, the young Maroon 5 fan was ushered off the stage by security. He waved bye to her before addressing the crowd with just how awkward that situation was for him.
"It's just weird to be, like, in the moment, ya know? And you're singing, and your eyes are closed, and you have this beautiful moment. And then the next thing you know someone's f-king in your face," Levine said to the crowd after the fan was ushered off stage. "It's super terrifying."
He also revealed that the woman cut his ear with her fingernail.
Despite her lack of boundaries, Levine was fairly nice to the young woman afterwards, telling her that he loved her and was glad she was a fan of the band.
And lucky enough for us... it was all caught on tape.
