The Rolling Stones have been hitting the press circuit pretty hard recently in advance of their Zip Code Tour, which kicks off next month. Fans want to know what to expect from this run of live shows (a popular question revolves around whether the band will play Sticky Fingers in its entirety). Keith Richards spoke with Rolling Stone recently to say that he wants to release a new album with the band.

"We're talking about doing some recording after this tour, but there's nothing definite. We just threw out the idea. I'd like to get the boys back in the studio again, yeah. Anything can happen," the guitar legend said.

If it doesn't happen, though, fans can expect a new solo album by Richards in September. The untitled effort is complete and the guitarist is even thinking about doing a solo tour to promote it.

"That's being kicked around," he said. "At the moment, I'm just getting my head into the Stones and I haven't really thought about what I'm going to do afterwards. But usually if I put a record out, I do some road work. So, it's possible."

It wouldn't have been a complete interview without the subject of retirement coming up. Richards said he doesn't think about it. His only goal for the Stones is to see how long it can last.

"I'd like to see just how far they can evolve. I have no demands or particular visions for them, but you're just part of this thing and I want to see how far it will go," he added.

The Stones will hit Petco Park in San Diego May 24 to kick off the 15-date summer tour. The group will make stops in Atlanta, Pittsburgh and Detroit before the final show in Quebec July 15.

While on tour, the band will release a reissue of the 1971 classic, Sticky Fingers.
