Tyler, the Creator took to Instagram last night, April 11, to unveil the tracklist for his upcoming, somewhat of a surprise, sophomore artist album Cherry Bomb. The "Yonkers" rapper unveiled plans to release the album only three days ago, while sharing the first two singles from the LP, "DEATHCAMP" and "F**KING YOUNG / PERFECT." The tracklist does not show any of the features on the album, unfortunately, but we do know so far that Track 11, titled "Smuckers," has Lil Wayne and Kanye West credited and "F**KING YOUNG / PERFECT" features Charlie Wilson, Toro Y Moi and Chad Alexander of the Black Lips.
Cherry Bomb is the much-anticipated follow-up to Tyler, the Creator's 2013 full-length Wolf. The album announcement continues the trend of surprise or limited timeframe promotional schedules for releases, following up fellow Odd Future member Earl Sweatshirt, who did something similar last month. He wanted to release his album as a complete surprise, but it was teased a week in advance, which Sweatshirt lambasted his label Columbia Records over.
Tyler, the Creator will be heading out on tour this spring and summer in support of the album. He played Coachella yesterday and will do so again next weekend, before playing nearly one show a night across the United States and Europe in cities like New York, Paris, New Orleans, Miami, London, Berlin, Raleigh, Dallas, Copenhagen and many more.
