A good way to win a CMT Music Award might be to just stick Carrie Underwood in your video and run with it...nearly every nomination including the American Idol winner took home a prize on Wednesday night. Underwood herself won for Video of The Year with "Something In The Water" and Female Video of The Year for the same song, while her appearance helped Miranda Lambert to win the Collaborative Video of The Year with "Somethin' Bad." Underwood was also nominated for Female Video for her clip "Little Toy Guns," and alas, she couldn't win twice.

Underwood has a way with country music award ceremonies: She's now won a total of 13 CMT Music Awards, as well as 11 Academy of Country Music Awards (at which she's won Entertainer of The Year twice).

Some other contenders might not have taken home the night's big award (Video of The Year) but their entries in that category got them some love in more specific contests. Luke Bryan and "Play It Again" took the prize for Male Video of The Year, Lady Antebellum and "Bartender" took the trophy for Group Video of The Year, Florida Georgia Line's "Dirt" won for Duo Video of The Year, and Sam Hunt's "Leave The Night On" took the Breakthrough Video of The Year award.

The only category that didn't feature nominees also up for Video of The Year was CMT Performance of The Year, which recognizes exclusive performances featured on the network through they year. That prize went to Bob Seger and Jason Aldean for their rendition of the former's "Turn The Page" as part of the CMT Crossroads program.

The big night for Underwood of course begs the question as to when we can expect a new collection of songs from the performer. Both "Something In The Water" and "Little Toy Guns" were taken from her Greatest Hits: Decade #1 compilation, but it's been more than three years since we've gotten a new LP from Underwood. Lord knows the CMT audience is licking its lips.
