It may seem like it was only yesterday when teenage Ray LaMontagne superfan Sawyer Fredericks took home the crown for Team Pharrell Williams as the season eight winner of The Voice, but NBC's smash hit singing competition will continue on. Just weeks after announcing its latest round of coaches, today (June 22), The Voice season nine got its premiere date.

NBC announced that the latest season of the singing competition will begin airing on Sept. 21 via The Voice's official Twitter account. Using the hashtag #TheVoiceIsBack, well, the network announced when the show will be back.

The new premiere date for The Voice is sure to be a relief for the show's dedicated fans, as little has been announced about season nine of the show.

What is confirmed, however, is the latest batch of celebrity coaches. Earlier this month, Entertainment Weekly reported that season nine will look a lot like season seven. After returning briefly for season eight, Christina Aguilera is out for the show's latest round and will be replaced by Gwen Stefani. She joins season eight coaches Pharrell, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, bringing back a familiar lineup to TV screens.
