KUWTK star Kourtney Kardashian and her baby-daddy/boyfriend of ten years, Scott Disick, called it quits over the Fourth of July weekend just days after his cheating scandal was exposed. The pair have three children together, Mason, 5, Penelope, 2, and Reign, 6 months, and are trying to figure out where the children stand amidst this very public break up.

Last week, paparazzi snapped photos of Scott Disick getting extra cozy with his ex-girlfriend, Chloe Bartolli. Photos surfaced of them rekindling old flames, with him sharing a beach chair with her while rubbing her back and her feeding him pasta like a couple of lovebirds in Monte Carlo beach in Monaco. Scott Disick had a wild week last week, partying in St. Tropez, then Las Vegas, before jetting off to France. Meanwhile Kourtney was back in L.A. at home with the kids, sick a cold, according to her Instagram post. With all that's been going on with Scott and his party boy behavior, Kourtney and Scott's break up seems somewhat bound to happen. But what about the kids?

Since Kourtney and Scott never got married, there is legally no custody agreement in action. According to E! News, since Kourtney and Scott are not husband and wife, the two will have to work out an arrangement between themselves. Kourtney is allegedly attempting to gain full custody of the kids. Per OK!, an inside source confirmed, "Kourtney feels she has no choice but to fight for full custody of the kids, unless [Scott] can behave like a real dad."

Kourtney says that her children are her top priority and will always come first in her life, and apparently, she just does not think Scott is stable enough to be the father she needs him to be. Kourtney kicked Scott out of their home in Calabasas, CA and a source stated to Life and Style, "Her team of lawyers has been notified that she's gearing up to fight for full custody of the children, too... Now that Mason is older, the family is worried about what he thinks about Scott. And it kills Kourtney that Mason could see Scott wasted. She is worried that if she lets this continue, it will forever scar him."

Break-ups are never easy, especially when young children are involved, but now it is up to Kourtney and Scott to figure out what is best for their children.
