The 2015 American Music Awards have finally found their host, and it's one of music's biggest stars. On Wednesday (Oct. 7), the AMAs announced that American Idol judge and Las Vegas superstar Jennifer Lopez will be hosting this year's event.

According to Access Hollywood, Lopez will not only be hosting this year's event at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, she will also be bringing along a fiery performance, containing material from her new Vegas residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Lopez has previously teased her Vegas residency with an appearance on Ellen.

This will be Lopez's first hosting gig, but she is not the first musician to take over the AMAs. Her "On the Floor" collaborator Pitbull hosted the show in 2013 and 2014.

JLo is a familiar face to the American Music Awards, and in the wake of her Vegas residency, it's no surprise that she's been chosen to host. Throughout her musical career, Lopez has been nominated for seven AMAs throughout the years and has won three times. She most recently ton for Favorite Latin Artist in 2011 and 2007; she also took home the award for Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist in 2003. Lopez also performed her AKA single "Booty" with Iggy Azalea at the 2014 AMAs.

As for this year's American Music Awards, the full list of nominees will be revealed on Tuesday, Oct. 13 by Joe Jonas and Charlie Puth.

The AMAs are set to air on Nov. 22 on ABC.
