Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett are one of Hollywood's most talked-about couples thanks to their long-lasting marriage and terminally hip offspring. In a recent interview with GQ, son Jaden explained his lust for learning new things and why he wants people to "stop being so scared."

His surname may be common, but there is nothing generic about Jaden. Along with being an award-winning actor, the 17-year-old has also dabbled in the world of music. He's released two mixtapes, one album, and rapped alongside popular artists like Justin Bieber and Childish Gambino. Despite his rise to fame at such a young age, Jaden is set on creating his own path towards happiness.

The Karate Kid star and his sister Willow are home schooled or as they like to call it, Mystery School, which gives them the opportunity to create their own curriculum. The siblings learn ancient math and science teachings of a specific generation and then use that knowledge to not only create new things, but also to spread that information and energy with those around them, Jaden stated in the interview. Referring to themselves as "scientists," the two see life as one big science experiment on humanity.

"And that's what I really encourage kids to do, is learn the things that you want to learn," Jaden told GQ about taking advantage of knowledge. "Because then not only will school become fun, but it will make your dreams come true. I rarely go to parties. My whole life is just dedicated on learning and breaking, like, the craziest records of life, and being like one of the craziest human beings to ever exist. That's me."

The media might try to deem the youngest Smith children as "crazy" based on their stylish dress and quotable interviews, but Jaden embraces it. He says some of the world's greatest minds, like Albert Einstein and Galileo, being called crazy gives him hope.

"They thought Galileo was crazy, too you know what I'm saying? I don't think I'm as revolutionary as Galileo, but I don't think I'm not as revolutionary as Galileo," Jaden explained to GQ.

He admitted there isn't a summer, weekend, or day that goes by where he's not learning. Jaden has even sat in on lectures at a few colleges including MIT, USC, and UCLA.

Jaden's hands on approach to life has opened him up to a world of new skills. Not only does he own his own clothing line (MSFTS), but he also built his own closet, bed, and a 12.5 foot pyramid. He's constantly looking for ways to keep his mind active.

"I just want to teach people how to be comfortable. Stop being so scared," he told GQ.

With his social influence in society and yearning to make changes, Jaden has "dedicated his life to helping other and the world. He's hoping others will learn to step out of their comfort zones and explore who they really are and can be.

Look out for Jaden as a graffiti artist in Netflix's new music-driven drama, The Get Down, about New York in the '70s.The 13-episode series is expected to reach Netlix in 2016.
