Warpaint vocalist/guitarist Theresa WaymanAll We Are bassist Guro Gikling and drummer Sarah Jones from both Hot Chip and Yeasayer, have announced their new project, BOSS. The trio will officially release I'm Down With That on November 27 via Dan Carey's Speedy Wunderground (known for working with Bat for Lashes, The Kills, Franz Ferdinand and Chairlift, among others) as a limited 7". The B side will feature Carey's dub remix of the same track, entitled "Mr Dan's I'm Dub With That." You can listen to both tracks via Speedy Wunderground's Soundcloud, below.

Upon first listen, "I'm Down With That" sounds exactly like what any fan of BOSS members' other bands would expect--groovy, fuzzy synth-pop seasoned with an especially warm guitar line, complete with Wayman's characteristically dreamy vocals.

As NME points out, "BOSS exists alongside the new Theresa Wyman solo project, which is currently being recorded, and comes as [Warpaint] takes things slowly, with Jenny Lee Lindberg also working on solo material." As Pitchfork reports, Wayman's solo material is also being produced by Carey, though there is not yet any sign of a release date. The bassist's solo album, Right On!, will be released under the name jennylee on December 11 via Rough Trade Records.

The other Warpaint members have also been preoccupied with solo and side projects. As Noisey reports, guitarist/vocalist Emily Kokal recently released the wistful track "Wishing Song" with Paul Bergmann. Meanwhile, drummer Stella Mozgawa has been working with Kurt Vile and can be heard on his most recent album, b'lieve i'm goin down, as reported by Consequence of Sound

The other two members of BOSS are equally busy. Jones' drumming can also be heard on Hot Chip's forthcoming EP, Dancing in the Dark, which is due out next week. Meanwhile, Gikling's other band, All We Are, dropped a new album a few months ago and according to their Facebook have been playing shows and recording around their homebase of Liverpool.
