Warpaint bassist, Jenny Lee Lindberg, just dropped her debut solo album under the name jennylee; the Nevada-born artist also announced a tour in support of the new release. Titled 'right on!,' the album was co-produced by Lindberg alongside Norm Block and features fellow Warpaint bandmate Stella Mozgawa as well as Dan Elkan of Them Hills and Broken Bells. -
Warpaint's Theresa Wayman, Hot Chip's Jones, All We Are's Gikling Launch BOSS Project [LISTEN]
Warpaint vocalist/guitarist Theresa Wayman, All We Are bassist Guro Gikling and drummer Sarah Jones from both Hot Chip and Yeasayer, have announced their new project, BOSS. The trio will officially release I'm Down With That on November 27 via Dan Carey's Speedy Wunderground (known for working with Bat for Lashes, The Kills, Franz Ferdinand and Chairlift, among others) as a limited 7". The B side will feature Carey's dub remix of the same track, entitled "Mr Dan's I'm Dub With That." You can listen to both tracks via Speedy Wunderground's Soundcloud, below. -

Kurt Vile has been speaking about new music for some time and now the guitarist has confirmed a new album from himself and the Violators titled b'lieve i'm goin down to be released during the Fall. A specific drop date hasn't been announced but perhaps it will come in September, before his world tour—which was also newly announced—will kick off on October 1. -

Bonnaroo took a big risk when it booked Skrillex to lead a "SuperJam," one of the unique aspects of the festival where an artist curates a massive collective of disparate artists from either the same genre or different ones to come together and play a variety of songs, generally covers. But, by all accounts, his was one of the most successful at the festival as he managed to blend electronic music with hip-hop, rock and reggae, calling upon artists from all across styles and decades. AT&T teamed up with Bonnaroo to put together a seven-part documentary about the making of the Skrillex SuperJam and the meeting of the minds that included Mickey Hart of The Grateful Dead; Robbie Krieger, guitarist for The Doors; A$AP Ferg; Thundercat; Big Gigantic; Warpaint; Zedd; Janelle Monáe; Damian Marley; and many others. -
