Ozzy Osbourne has made it clear that Black Sabbath decided against and may be "too old" to follow-up their most recent studio album, 13, but that doesn't mean other projects are out of the question for the prince of darkness. He and his son, Jack Osbourne, will have a second go-around on television circuit with their upcoming father and son spoof show on the History Channel.

The two are already seasoned television personalities in front of cameras, having been around them for their popular 2002-2005 MTV series, The Osbournes, a reality show centered on the daily life of the not-so-traditional metal family. Don't let the history aspect of the new show conjure up boring or lackluster notions however, with Ozzy Osbourne and his son at the wheel of the show, there can only be an immense amount of cursing stuffed in between hilarious father and son exchanges.

"Jack and I are doing a thing for the History Channel, like a father and son spoof on history," the "Crazy Train" singer told Billboard. "We went to Stonehenge and met a guy who thinks he's the f-king reincarnation of King Arthur. And we went to Bletchley Park to see the machine [that Alan Turing] used to break the [German] code. We're going to Mount Rushmore, to the abandoned silos where America used to have their Minutemen missiles and all that. It's educational for me, actually - history with an Osbourne slant."

The series release date is still undetermined, although it would only make sense for it to premiere while Black Sabbath is still on the road for their The End tour, which was recently extended into 2016.  The first show is slated for January 20 in Nebraska. Following Black Sabbath's first chart-topping album, 1970's Paranoid, the band's recent 13 marked their most successful project in the U.S., topping the Billboard charts for the very first time.

Ditching efforts for one last studio album, the rock trio consisting of Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler (sans Bill Ward), will place all focus on The End tour. Until the final leg launches, the 66-year-old rocker will tackle a solo set on November 22 at his own OZZFest Japan, UltimateClassicRock notes.
