In a show of girl power, Ariana Grande and Modern Family star Ariel Winter decided to fight back against body shamers using some feisty online commentary. The two had previously never connect in a professional sense, but when an unnamed Internet troll compared the women's bodies on a forum, it sparked some fire.

Entertainment Weekly reported a screenshot of the post, which read, "Got asked if I'd prefer @arielwinter1 or @ArianaGrande lol, it wud definitely be @arielwinter1 curves are sexy sticks aren't," which directly pitted the physicality of both women against one another.

Grande immediately shot back by posting the screenshot herself and dismissing the hater with a lengthy cry for equality.

Winter appreciated Grande's stand, saying that "women should empower one another."

But this is not the first time that Grande has railed against chauvinist views in society. In June, following a split from ex-boyfriend Big Sean, the pop star again wrote a girl power essay on Twitter in which she vehemently expressed that she did not want to be referred to as "Big Sean's ex." She also expressed that she was tired of women being referenced as "a man't past, present or future PROPERTY/POSSESSION." Grande further expressed that she is owned by no one aside from herself.

In a surprisingly insightful Twitter essay the young singer also referenced Gloria Steinem, a feminist figurehead during the 1960s, and her essay "After Black Power, Women's Liberation," and asserted that there is still a great deal of improvements to be made.
