As if his current successful world tour wasn't enough to smile about, Ed Sheeran recently joined the world of driving, having passed his road test on Thursday (Oct. 29) just months after driving a car for the very first time.

The "Thinking Out Loud" just drove his first car earlier this year on Top Gear, NME notes. On Friday, he took to Twitter to celebrate his accomplishment three months after finishing up the theory segment of the test.

The singer-songwriter has plans to take a break from music but he still has a new album in the works, one that triggers his nerves.

After his New York City Global Citizen Fest gig in September, Sheeran spent time with Beyonce and Jay Z at their home where he played a track expected to appear on his latest LP. "[Jay] made me play it four times in a row and called me an alien," Sheeran said. "That was promising. Normally I don't care much about what people think of my music. If you love it, awesome; if you don't, go and listen to something else. But this time is different. This project is a lot more dear to me. I'm nervous about how it's going to be received."
