In the wake of the Paris shootings, Coldplay nixed their Tidal live-stream concert that had been due to run at 8:30 p.m. PST on Friday (Nov. 13). They cancelled their event on extremely short notice in deference to those who suffered in the attacks in Paris which included a mass shooting at an Eagles of Death Metal concert.

"Tonight's live stream for TIDAL & KROQ has been postponed out of respect for the terrible events in Paris," the band said to fans in a statement posted to their website. They additionally expressed that all ticket purchases would be valid for the next date. The show had been scheduled to stream live from the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles.

They continued, saying, "We'll play a short set of old material so that your journey isn't wasted. We send our love and prayers to the people of Paris. Love Coldplay."

Due to the fact that the band cancelled at the last possible second, they are doing their due diligence to make sure that there is a show for fans who had already arrived at the venue before the show was nixed. Unfortunately for fans, that particular show won't have any music from their new album, A Head Full Of Dreams, which is slated to be released early next month on Dec. 4th.

According to Billboard, a total of 118 people are now dead after the mass shooting at Le Bataclan theatre in Paris. The band Eagles of Death Metal supposedly escaped the venue alive and well but two crew members are now reported missing. Coldplay is not the only band to skip out on a performance due to the tragedy. U2 has also cancelled their concert for HBO that was scheduled to film tonight in Paris.
