With the release date of Coldplay's new album, A Head Full Of Dreams, looming, the band debuted two of its new tracks live in concert in Los Angeles last night (Nov. 21), which included "Up&Up" as well as the highly-anticipated LP's title track.

The show, which took place at Belasco Theatre, was live-streamed via Tidal, the Swedish-developed streaming platform with artists like Jay Z and Jack White at the helm. The gig, which served as the band's first show centered around the new record, had been rescheduled from November 13 due to the unfortunate events that took place in Paris that same night.

While introducing the track "Up&Up," frontman Chris Martin said, "This is kind of the song we've been waiting to write for 15 years." The soft piano ballad starts out with a wonderful piano riff accompanied by some sparse electronic bits mixed-in. The grand chorus is as uplifting as you'd expect from the British pop rock outfit. The two songs debuted last night in concert are the first new songs fans have heard since lead single, "Adventure Of A Lifetime," saw its release with accompanying music video earlier this month.

While Martin has been making his interview rounds in support of the release, it has been revealed that his ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, is featured on the album as a backing vocalist on the song "Everglow." Martin had also previously revealed that Beyonce, her daughter Blue Ivy and former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher are all featured guests on A Head Full Of Dreams.

Not only that, but the singer has also claimed to have been heavily influenced by Guns N' Roses while writing the new songs. The record, which was originally announced via cryptic London Underground ads, will hit stores on Dec. 4 via Parlophone/Atlantic Records.
