Nicki Minaj's brother, Jelani Maraj, has been arrested for the reported sexual assault of a minor. A resident of Long Island, Maraj, who was recently married, was arraigned this past Thursday for first-degree course of sexual conduct against a minor and first-degree rape.

As reported by Newsday, online and court records outline that the child that Maraj is accused of raping is the young age of 12. According to SPIN his bail was set at $100,000 and once paid he was released from East Meadow's Nassau County jail this past Thursday (December 3).

Minaj has, in the past, used her brother for inspiration in her songs, including "I'm the Best" and "All Things Go." In "All Things Go," the rapper references Maraj in the lyrics ("And I know Jelani will always love me and I'll always love him / I'm just his little sister, not Nicki Minaj when I'm around him").

The drama seems to be endless for Minaj, who also recently found out that she is being sued by her ex, Safaree Samuels, for millions over rights to her Pink Friday, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, and The Pinkprint albums. Her ex has been putting together evidence that he was behind most of her success, and according to TMZ this will include voice memos and actual footage of the two in the studio.

In an interview with The Breakfast Club, Samuels openly asserted that he had been heavily involved with the majority of the material, saying, "But when you try to pull me down, and discredit what I've done for you, that's what's weak to me. Don't say I don't have no talent, because every time it came to writing raps and doing music, it was me, her and the beat. She didn't do it by herself."

Speaking on their tumultuous musical relationship, Minaj has referred to the songs as being, "arguments frozen in time."
