Weezer has been on a bit of a cannoli kick as of late, and the band has now brought the Italian pastry to a late night performance. On Thursday night (Dec. 3), Rivers Cuomo and co. appeared on CONAN for a performance of their new single "Thank God for Girls."

The performance itself was signature Weezer, featuring little flare, solid vocals from Cuomo and a hook that will resonate in your ears and mind for days after you watch it. And, while Weezer may have played "Thank God for Girls" relatively straight, there was one interesting, slightly unexpected element to this gig.

In a nod to the "Thank God for Girls" lyrics, which feature a woman with a cannoli, and the song's lyric video, the same long-haired man sat on the stage nomming on those desserts as if his life depended on it.

The cannoli has actually played quite heavily into Weezer's "Thank God for Girls" promotion. The sweet treat also appears in the clip's music video, which stars Cuomo as a corrupted, charismatic church leader who gambles away his followers' cash.

"Thank God for Girls" is one of two standalone singles that Weezer has released in the final quarter of 2015. The band also released the rocking Pinkerton-esque track "Do You Wanna Get High."

Though the band seems to be gearing up for the release of a new album, there's no actual studio effort in sight. Weezer's last album Everything Will Be Alright in the End was released last year.
