Nicki Minaj's brother Jelani Maraj is free on $100,000 bail after being accused of raping a 12-year-old child. But, contrary to previous reports the 37-year-old's rap star sister is not the one who posted his bail, it was actually the two's mother, Carol Maraj.

Bossip obtained the court papers from Jelani Maraj's on Wednesday (Dec. 9) in Nassau County, New York. As it turns out, the "Anaconda" rapper was not the one who put up the collateral to get Maraj out of jail - it was her mother, Carol. She reportedly put up her home in Baldwin, New York, as well as two $50,000 promissory notes in order to keep her son out of the jail as he awaited further trial.

However, just because Maraj is out of jail doesn't mean that he is totally free. Until further notice, his unnamed victim has gotten an order of protection against Maraj. He must stay at least 100 yards away from the child. Maraj also must surrender any weapons he happens to own.

Maraj is accused of abusing a 12-year-old girl over the span of several months. Since April, the victim has reported that Maraj has raped her on several occasions. Maraj is fighting the claims with "high power" attorney Andrea Zellan. He has not spoken to the media, but Minaj and Maraj's mother Carol has stated that she wishes she could "kick the butts" of the media who has been reporting on the case.

As for Minaj, the Grammy-nominated rapper has remained silent on the subject of her brother's arrest.
