One Direction have a lot of "History" with them, and because of that, the band has changed its third Made in the A.M. single. On Monday (Dec. 14), 1D announced that it will no longer push "Infinity" and will instead refocus "History" as its new promo track.

One Direction made the major announcement on its Twitter just hours after making their last live appearance before their extended hiatus on the U.K. version of The X Factor. To help celebrate coming back home and five years as a band, One Direction performed "History," and the fan reaction was so grand that the band decided to change its third single.

"History" replaces "Infinity" as the planned third Made in the A.M. single. One Direction were originally going to roll out the big ballad as its new track. It follows the release of "Drag Me Down" and "Perfect."

The release of "History" marks the end of One Direction before the band embarks on an indefinite hiatus, which is set to begin in spring 2016.

Made in the A.M. was released on Nov. 13 and is One Direction's fifth studio album in just as many years.
