The Voice may have crowned a winner on Tuesday night (Dec. 15) with Team Adam's Jordan Smith, but he wasn't the biggest star of the night - that honor would go to Justin Bieber. In the most-hyped performance in a stacked lineup, Bieber was on hand to perform his latest Purpose single "Sorry."

Bieber kicked off his performance at the piano, stripping down this EDM-filled song to its emotional core and melodic essence. He got through the first verse and chorus in this manner, reminding both his fans and haters that he can actually pull of a melody and play multiple instruments (Bieber is also a notable guitarist and drummer).

After the first 90 seconds or so, however, this performance went back into tried and true territory, with the original musical backing kicking in. Bieber himself also hopped off the piano and jumped onto the stage, dancing around with a pack of backing female dancers (as he is wont to do).

Unlike his American Music Awards performance, this gig was 100 percent live, with Bieber making a few vocal tweaks in order to take a few less chances than he does on record. Bieber also seemed energized on stage, as he engaged with both the audience and camera. But, this was a big way to end The Voice's ninth season, winner notwithstanding.

Bieber was just one of many performers to tackle The Voice's finale. The Weeknd, Coldplay, Missy Elliott with Pharrell, Sam Hunt and more also took the stage alongside The Voice's finalists and top 24 contestants.
