Carter V season is officially in full swing. After teasing his upcoming album with a recent artwork release, Lil Wayne dropped the first single "Believe Me" featuring Drake.

Wayne ditches his Tunechi persona in a pretty good attempt to revamp Weezy.

Nonetheless, Lil Wayne and Drake collaborations never disappoint. Tha Carter V may just be Lil Wayne's most highly anticipated album ever, and "Believe Me" was a great display of rap skills.

As previously reported, many were misinformed and believed the artwork recently released was Wayne's album cover.

Cortez Bryant, Wayne's manager, took to Twitter to clarify.

"The Image that was posted yesterday is NOT the #carterV album cover! It's just to let the @LilTunechi fans know that CarterV Season is here!" Bryant tweeted.

MStars reported Cash Money Records Vice President of Promotion Mel Smith speaking on Wayne's upcoming project with The Griffin saying, "We're very close to dropping the album. It's going to be a huge surprise to everyone; it's an incredible album. ... I can't release the date because [Wayne] wants to surprise people; he wants his true fanbase to get excited but he's worked extremely hard on it and you won't be disappointed."

Bryant also went on to alert fans that the release date of the album is still undecided.

Back in February, Drake announced during a performance that the album would be released on May 5.

Who knows, Wayne may shock the world with a Beyonce-like release.
