After whiting-out their social media accounts and official website this week, Weezer has announced a brand new, self-titled White Album, due out April 1 via their own label, Crush Music, as well as a massive tour and a music video for the brand new single “King Of The World.”

The video depicts a hefty hipster dude running down a boardwalk, causing mischief in a king's cape and crown, before he is tackled by a police officer. The song starts off with very synth-driven instrumentals before launching into a classic Weezer alt. rock ballad.

“This album was inspired by my experiences hanging around the Westside of Los Angeles, which has been our home since Weezer began,” Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo wrote on the band's website early Friday morning. “Hanging out with people in Venice and Santa Monica, the beach, the Hare Krishnas, the Sikh on roller blades with the guitar, girls on Tinder within a 4 mile radius, seeing other bands, etc. I would just tweet out “does anybody wanna hang?” and then I’d get together with people who responded and talk about life. I love California. I wanted the album to have a Beach Boys sort of vibe to make you feel like you were there with us SoCal weirdos even if you’re in Milwaukee in December.”

The White Album will include previously released singles "Thank God For Girls" and "Do You Wanna Get High?," as well as eight new tracks including "L.A. Girlz," "Wind in Our Sail" and "Endless Bummer."
