Two of country music's biggest female superstars, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, are releasing a new duet "Something Bad" and on Sunday night (May 18), the ladies debuted the track at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards.

To fit with the song's ominous title, Lambert and Underwood appeared onstage wearing daring edgy outfits, which is to say, they rocked complimentary black and red skimpy outfits, with Lambert in a crimson mini-skirt and Underwood opting for some Daisy Duke shorts. The stage production similarly reflected the single title, with bursts of flames firing off in the background as the down-home gals did their thing.

But, how did "Something Bad" shape up?

The track pulls from modern country influences, with a bombastic stomping back beat, heavy with bass. Sludgy guitars further the country-rock influence of "Something Bad," In the vein of other country revenge tracks, "Something Bad" winds through the verses to explode into the chorus, which is a fitting romper.

Underwood and Lambert trade off rounds of "Ohs" while the other takes on the warning signs of the song.

But don't beware... "Something Bad" is actually something quite good.
