If you're a fan of Iron Maiden album artwork, get ready to jump right into them on your own smartphone. Eddie, with different forms and abilities, will travel through time, space and more in this gameplay, all while rocking out to classic Maiden songs.

As you can imagine, the soundtrack to Legacy of the Beast will be filled with Maiden hits from over the decades-spanning career of the rock gods, but we can expect some more special tracks as well. According to IGN, bassist Steve Harris and engineer Tony Newton are working together to adapt unheard live tracks for the new game.

"We know many of our fans are gamers and we have long thought that Eddie and Maiden's music and imagery would be perfect for this. It's something we have been looking at revisiting since Ed Hunter way back in 1999," Harris explained in the press release from Roadhouse Interactive. "Now in 2016 it can all be done on a smartphone so it makes it even more accessible for Maiden fans everywhere and also all the gamers out there."

An official release date has yet to be announced, but it's aiming at a summer 2016 window. You can learn more about Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast over at the game's official website right here!
