Rockist fans of David Bowie - there is no need to worry. Kanye West has no plans to release an album full of Bowie covers. In the wake of the rock legend's death earlier this month, rumors flew wild that the "No More Parties in LA" rapper was looking to release an album of Bowie's music, but those rumblings have since been denied.

Following Bowie's passing earlier this month, West was one of many celebrities to tweet out his condolences.

According to British tabloid reports, West was planning taking his fandom to a new level by paying tribute to Bowie's legacy by releasing a cover album.

Though there was no official confirmation of this new music, that didn't keep fans from freaking out. A Bowie fan, Peter Piranha, started a petition to halt West's reported Bowie project. As of this writing, that petition has over 16,000 signatures (though it's not clear how they would stop West from doing anything in execution).

But, those 16,000 rock fans will be happy to know that West does not and never has had plans to record a Bowie tribute. According to TMZ, his rep denies any such project.

But, that doesn't mean West isn't planning on releasing any new music soon. The rapper's hotly anticipated Yeezus follow-up SWISH is expected to be released on Feb. 11. West has spent the first few weeks of 2016 teasing his new album by releasing new music, including the tracks "Facts," "Real Friends" and "No More Parties in LA."

Despite the rollout of new material, most of the information surrounding SWISH (most notably a tracklist) remains unknown.
