Kanye West finally announced on Sunday night that his seventh studio album was finally completed, but that's not the only surprise he had in store leading up to the LP's release. He also announced that he has renamed the album from Swish to Waves. As the new title took the Twitter-sphere by storm, some fans, including Wiz Khalifa were not pleased about the new title. And Khalifa didn't mince words about how he felt about the renaming of West’s album.

Late Tuesday (Jan. 26) evening, West announced that he had officially renamed his forthcoming album slated to drop Feb. 11.

West even joked around calling it the “album formerly known as SWISH.”

However what was more surprising then anything was the “See You Again” rapper’s response to the news as he went on a series of tweets imploring West to not take the “wave." Khalifa claims rapper Max B, who has been incarcerated since 2010, is the rightful owner of the terminology and style.

West must have got wind of Khalifa’s tweets because shortly thereafter he took to Twitter once again tweeting, “All respect to Andre Harrel and Max B #Waves.” The response seemed to put Khalifa somewhat at ease as he tweeted “Yea aight.”

Although West’s seventh studio album isn’t out yet, its already causing a stir. The “No More Parties in L.A.” rapper retracted his original statement deeming it “the best album of all time," and now is claiming it to be “album of the life.” West also announced he would premiere his album in entirety at his Yeezy 3 Fashion Show at Madison Square Garden.
