One of the biggest mistakes you can make, as a music fan, is to forget about Dr. Dre, which is pointed out in the hit single "Forgot About Dre" from 2001. While the iconic rapper has been keeping quiet recently, one of his new Aftermath Records signees, Anderson .Paak, has not been. According to a new interview with the young MC, we could be expecting some new music from the former NWA and Death Row Records member.

Many of us had started to believe that Dre was looking at retirement after the release of Compton last year, but now we're hearing from one of his most exciting Aftermath employees that "something" is in the works as we speak.

In a new interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra, .Paak has definitely started some hype and excitement around the possibility of new Dr. Dre music.

"He's doing a lot of work right now. I can't really speak on it," the rapper explained, according to The Smoking Section. "I don't know of too many dudes in the position that he's at that still really care about the music."

Obviously, we'll have to wait for more precise details when it comes to anything new from Dr. Dre.

We hope that .Paak didn't ruin any big surprises or anything like that, just because he seems like the kind of artist that is super excited about working with Dre.

"It's such a surreal thing," he recently told NME. "Five years ago I would have laughed if someone had said, "Not only are you going to be working with Dre, but you're going to be on his last project [Compton]."
