Reality shows are becoming more and more popular amongst celebrities and viewers, and now singer Mariah Carey wants a piece of the action for herself. The singer is set to star in her own series, based on her current Las Vegas residency.

The Emancipation of MiMi singer is cashing in on her Vegas residency and her two-month European tour by allowing cameras to follow her every move to create a new reality show. Us Weekly reported how the singer's manager is also a reality TV show producer and managed to lock in the deal for the development of the show.

Described as a "docu-style series that chronicles the behind-the-scenes drama of her Las Vegas residency," Mariah's Squad, as the show is unofficially titled for now, will also highlight the interaction between the "Heartbreaker" singer and her crew. No official word on a premiere date as of yet, but filming may have already begun after the mother of 4-year-old twin boys was spotted at an Elton John event back in February, surrounded by her own personal camera crew - and the cameras were rolling.

The show will not only feature moments from the Vegas show. It will also follow her experience in Europe this Spring, according to EUR. Carey also plans to include moments with her boys Monroe and Moroccan, and possibly moments with her new fiance, James Packer.

The couple got engaged shortly after Nick Cannon, Carey's ex-husband and father of their twin boys, filed for divorce back in December of 2015. Packer is an Australian billionaire businessman who was also previously married, but divorced from his ex-wife in 2013, according to E! Online.

Carey joins the list of music artists who have had their own reality shows, like gospel recording duo Mary Mary, SWV, T.I. & Tiny, Fantasia Barrino, Keyshia Cole, K. MichelleJessica Simpson and others.
