After the announcement of the death of Prince Rogers Nelson at his residence in Paisley Park, lawyers are trying to determine about who will get the $300 million fortune that he has accumulated in his about four years decade in the music industry, Celebrity Net Worth reported.

It is not yet clear if the iconic star has left a last will and testament since he had no surviving kids and has divorced twice. The 57-years-old star, who was found unresponsive in the elevator, also has few surviving relatives as well.

"Hopefully, Prince executed a trust and indicated his intentions, both with respect to who his trustee would be and how he would want to estate to be disposed of. Prince was an incredibly smart person, he had great legal representation...So I would suspect that somebody along the way said, 'Look, we've got to execute some documents," Dan Streisand said according to Reuters.

According to reports, the most likely recipient Prince's fortune is Tyka Nelson, the younger sister of Prince, who told hundreds of fans that the "he loved you back." The "Purple Rain" singer got closer to his 55-year-old sister but their relationship became fraught when Tyka battled drug addiction and got involved in prostitution.

Reports also reveal that the Jehovah's Witness congregation might inherit his fortune since he was a devoted follower of said church and even engaged in preaching work on the neighborhoods of Minnesota, NY Daily News reported.

Without a will, the probate court will decided about the heritance. Based on Minnesota law, first to inherit is the grandchildren, the parents and the siblings but Prince doesn't have any grandchildren and both his parents are already deceased.

Prince married Mayte Garcia and had a son Boy Gregory who died seven days after his birth in 1996. Since Prince never recovered from the loss, he separated from Garcia and married Manuela Testolini but ended it on 2006 five years later.
