Remember that longtime beef between rappers Ja Rule and 50 Cent? Well, apparently it's back with a bang in a new tell-all book from Ja Rule, titled Unruly: The Highs and Lows of Being a Man.
Despite a public amends in 2011, Jeffrey Atkins' (Ja Rule) new book unloads quite a bit of drama against the 'In Da Club' rapper, rehashing some old, not-so-forgiven, memories. In one part, he even calls Fitty, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, a snitch.
Atkins claims, "When they (the feds) asked him who he thought had shot him, it would make sense that 50 would have said, 'Ja Rule, Irv Gotti and Murder Inc.,'" speaking of the nine-shot attack on Jackson back in the year 2000.
Despite Atkins' accusation, however, Jackson has stated that he's never cooperated with the law, even when approached by authorities in an attempt to bring down Atkins' associates, Irv "Gotti" Lorenzo and his brother Chris. The two were eventually exonerated in 2005 for the charges of laundering drug money through their Murder Inc. record label.
Regardless, Atkins holds strong to the belief that a case couldn't have been made without Jackson's involvement.
Also in the book are several descriptions of altercations between the two, such as a "peace summit" in 2000 held in Atlanta. "50 tried to swing on me," he says, "but I dipped, then I hit him with the baby Louisville Slugger." He adds, "Bam! I dropped the bat. I pulled the shirt over his head. I started catching him left, right, uppercut."
