Kanye West's headlining set at the opening night of London's Wireless Festival was met with boos from the audience as the rapper went on an extended rant, reports NME

About midway through the first of his three headlining shows for the festival, West reportedly interrupted his performance of "Runaway" with a speech that "touched on everything from consumerism to Kim Kardashian." West was quoted as saying, "People look at me like I've got a problem. Like I can't be controlled. It's like they want everyone brainwashed. They want to steal you from you. As far as I'm concerned, everyone is a star."

NME reports that the rant caused "Runaway" to run "well over ten minutes," though music-news.com reports that West "interrupted his set for a full 20 minutes."

West went on to say in his speech, "How many people here believe they are awesome? What have I ever done but believe in myself? I got to meetings and people treat me as if I'm stupid. I'm not going to name names, I'm not going to dis Nike or anything but don't discriminate against me. They tell me: 'Sit in the front row. Wear this jacket I made for you and do as you're told.' That's why I wear this mask. F**k my face."

When discussing his wife Kim Kardashian, West said "...seven years ago I met Kim and told her that I was going to marry her." The rant was reportedly cheered on by some audience members sitting near the front row, but was booed as he finally concluded the song. West is scheduled to headline again tonight, and on Sunday in Birmingham.
