According to Weezer, Everything Will Be Alright In The End. For fans of the "Buddy Holly" band, the end is in sight. Today (July 9), Weezer announced the official release date for its new album as a part of its "Weezer Wednesdays" YouTube series. The record will officially drop on Sept. 30.

The record release date was revealed in a new short video from Weezer.

Oddly titled "ewbaite 12 'Return To Ithaca,'" the video begins with a slow zoom on the recently revealed Everything Will Be Alright In The End album cover as the new song "Back to the Shack" plays. A quick jump cut then shows Weezer mastermind Rivers Cuomo in a classic black and white setting, playing architect. Instead of drawing out massive skyscrapers, however, he's writing down the highly anticipated album release date: September 30, 2014.

Another new song plays in the second half of the video.

Weezer has been building to the release of Everything Will Be Alright In The End for three months now in a weekly "Weezer Wednesday" series. In addition to classic album rollout information like a title, cover artwork and (now) release date, Weezer has also been teasing some new songs from the record. Thus far, snippets of tracks such as "Ain't Got Nobody" and "Back To The Shack" have been revealed.

More, full details on Weezer's new album are forthcoming, but it is rumored that the band will be returning to its former glory and sound. In the highly self-aware "Shack," Cuomo admits he should return to guitar and relive the glory days of 1994.

Everything Will Be Alright In The End is Weezer's ninth studio album. The band's last effort, Hurley was released in September 2010.
