Kanye West has been hospitalized reportedly for exhaustion and sleep deprivation. This comes after a tumultuous few days where Kanye ended a few shows early and eventually canceled the rest of his Saint Pablo Tour.

News broke last night that Yeezy was hospitalized on Nov. 21 for his own health and safety, though more details were not known at the time.

Today, details have started to emerge as to why Kanye has been hospitalized.

According to a Billboard source, he was taken in "due to exhaustion and sleep deprivation."

A TMZ report shed more details on what happened and the prognosis for his hospitalization. According to the report, West's personal physician called 911 and said Yeezy was suffering from "temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration"

Doctor Michael Farzam, said West was non-violent, but could become so if the police came. Farzam reportedly told police that he had a patient named Jim Jones, 39 years old, 175 lbs.

According to the police report, the doctor told police he wanted to take Kanye on a 5150 psychiatric hold to UCLA Medical Media Center.

At this point, Kanye West and his team have not confirmed any of these reports or commented, but mental health is a serious issue with musicians and West should be given the benefit of the doubt to recover. We wish him the best and hope he recovers soon.

Several of Kanye's colleagues in music have come out in support of the rapper, sending him their well wishes on social media and in statements.

Chance The Rapper went on BBC 1Xtra and did a live session. Afterwards he offered a prayer for his "big brother" Kanye.

"I want to extend a special prayer to my big brother Kanye West," he said. "I know there's a lot of weird folks out there but you already know that I'm a hundred grand. I want to just extend this prayer and this love from all the way in Britain. We might come home early to see this. Happy Thanksgiving."
