Now this is a mashup for the books.
Recently, DJ Cookin Soul created the perfect mix-- a mashup of Childish Gambino's "Redbone" and Future's "Mask Off." Cookin Soul said in his description underneath the Soundcloud upload, that this wasn't just a regular mashup for him. He went on to say, "For anybody wondering... this is not just a regular mashup... ive sampled gambino's track chopped it, pitched it, added drums to it, vox, fx... and then processed it all thru my SP 404sx then added Future's acapella to it.. so basically i made a beat sampling RedBone and added Future's vocals..."
Childish Gambino admitted at the Governor's Ball, that the next album he puts out, will most likely be his last. Glover admitted to HuffingtonPost in an interview that there is only so far he can go with being a musician. He said the next album he releases, will most likely be his last album. He said, "Like I feel like there's gotta be a reason to do things and I always had a reason to be punk. Being punk just always felt really good to me and we always looked at 'Atlanta' as a punk show and I feel like the direction I would go with Childish Gambino wouldn't be punk anymore. As much as 'Redbone' is a punk song because it's a gospel song that's on the radio, I'm like there's only so far you can go before you just are the radio."
Three days prior, Hot New Hip Hop reported that Future's album, March Madness, has been certified platinum. They said, "March Madness never cracked the Billboard Hot 100, due to the sole fact that it wasn't available on iTunes and streaming platforms until six months after it was originally released as a part of 56 Nights."
