Crystal Castles' Alice Glass is confident that the court will drop the defamation case that her former bandmate Ethan Kath filed against her.

Last year, in the wake of the #MeToo movement that rocked Hollywood and the world, Glass whose real name is Margaret Osborn accused Kath, born Claudio Palmieri, of sexual assault, stalking, and other manipulative behaviors that started when she was 15.

"Over a period of many months, he gave me drugs and alcohol and had sex with me in an abandoned room at an apartment he managed," Glass wrote on her website. "It wasn't always consensual."

The Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Ethan Kath

She recounted that abuse continued until they formed the band Crystal Castles in 2006. She said that he pressured her into dropping out of her high school when she was about to graduate and he controlled her eating habits, the clothes she wore, the people she talks to, and what she says in public.

The abuse continued to be physical; he once threw her into concrete that left bruises on her body and threatened to remove her from the band if she refused to have sex with him. She left the band in 2014 and pursued a solo career.

Kath has since denied the accusation and filed a defamation suit against the singer-songwriter. However, since Glass's sexual assault accusation, more women came forward to expose the harassment they endured from Kath.

The Toronto Police Service has confirmed that there is now an ongoing investigation against Kath.

Broken Castles

In a new interview with The Daily Beast, Glass revealed that a number of women have reached out to her since she revealed her own sexual abuse story.

"I think all of us were feeling so alone and lost with this, and so to think that we could have been communicating this entire time, it's pretty painful," she stated. "But it's been a powerful couple of months and I honestly don't know where I would be without the support of other women who understand what I went through."

As for the defamation lawsuit made against her, Glass revealed that she only learned about it when it appeared on TMZ. She and her legal team, she shared, had to download the entire file from BuzzFeed. However, she is confident that the lawsuit will be thrown out because she claims that everything she said was true.

The Toronto-born singer added that Kath is using the defamation suit to intimidate her and scare the other women who have no access to a lawyer from speaking out.

"Things didn't work out the way he thought they would, which would be me just cowering and crying in a little ball," Glass stated. "He doesn't know me anymore and I'm not a little girl anymore."
