Last October, news broke that Alice Glass had left the experimental electronic duo, Crystal Castles, leaving many fans to wonder if they were done for good. On Friday, Ethan Kath, the producer and remaining member released a new song under the guise of Crystal Castles on soundcloud titled "Frail" that got fans excited not only because it was new music, but also it confirmed that there was a future for the band. He stirred up controversy with a now deleted comment that undermined the contribution of Glass over her time as a member in Crystal Castles. Not too long after, she responded in a series of tweets validating her position in the duo and using the comment to reinforce why she left. -
Ethan Kath Releases Crystal Castles Song 'Frail' Despite Alice Glass Leaving Band [LISTEN]
Ethan Kath has released a new track under the moniker of "Crystal Castles," confirming that although Alice Glass has left the duo, the band will live on. The track is titled "Frail" and features female vocals, although Pitchfork has clarified that, despite sounding somewhat like the former frontwoman, it's not Glass. The vocalist has not been identified as of yet, so we can only hypothesize what Kath and Castles plans on doing for future music and on the road. -
