Jay-Z Takes Roc Nation Execs Out, Racks Up $110K Tab

Jay-Z recently treated Juan "OG" Perez, the president of Roc Nation Sports, to a night out on the latter's birthday.

The rapper-businessman was with the other Roc Nation execs on Sunday, that is why he did not accompany Beyoncé to the 2018 NBA All-Star Game.

Apparently, a copy of Jay-Z's tab following his night out with his friends went viral online. The receipt showed that the singer spent almost $92,000 on booze. He also gave $11,000 as a tip.

Some of the group's orders included 40 bottles of Ace of Spades Champagne, Jay's D'Ussé Cognac, and more. One publication notes that Jay-Z also handed out bottles of champagne to the other guests at Zuma in Midtown.

While Jay-Z was out with his friends, Beyoncé and Blue Ivy bonded with Tina Knowles and Richard Lawson at the All-Star Basketball Game on Sunday. The mom-and-daughter duo was photographed taking selfies on Beyoncé's phone. Tina also joined her daughter and granddaughter in another picture.

Jay-Z Attends Peace Walk & Peace Talk

Jay-Z recently made headlines after he showed his support to Trayvon Martin at the Peace Walk & Peace Talk in Miami on Feb. 10. The event was organized to honor the victims of gun violence. Martin was shot dead in February 2012, and Jay-Z is producing a movie and documentary based on his life.

"We want to make sure that we stand and support and never forget that Trayvon serves as a beacon of light to the people out here. So you guys never have to go through the pain and hurt that these guys went through," said Jay-Z.

The "Family Feud" singer stood beside Martin's parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, who are still mourning the death of their son. During Jay-Z's speech, the "Empire State of Mind" singer said that Martin's name will sit alongside Martin Luther King, as well as the Gandhis.

"That's the intention we set so his name will serve as a beacon of light and hope to push our culture forward in a better direction," said Jay-Z.

Jay-Z's Grammy Awards Snub

Jay-Z also faced a controversy during this year's Grammy Awards. The "Run This Town" singer was nominated in eight categories, but he did not manage to bring home a single award.

Majority of the winners at the recently concluded awards show were male artists, so fans were surprised that Jay-Z did not bring home even just one trophy.
