Rihanna turned 30 years old on Feb. 20. She commemorated her special day by giving her mom, Monica, a special shout-out.

On her social media account, Rihanna shared a throwback photo of herself as a baby. In her caption, she said that her birth marked Monica's first time to become a mom. She also happens to be her mom's only daughter.

"Today is just as much as your birthday as it is mine! I love you mom! Thank you for carrying me, birthing me, raising me, supporting me, teaching me, and loving me unconditionally! The woman I am today is because of everything that you are! I thank God for perfectly hand picking you to be my mother when He sent my spirit to you! You are the greatest! Thank you," wrote Rihanna.

Monica also gushed over her daughter on her birthday on Tuesday. The doting mom shared an adorable picture of Rihanna as a young girl. Monica called Rihanna the sweetest and most humble person she knows.

The "Diamonds" singer's younger brother, Rorrey, also made sure to remember his sister on her special day.

Rihanna Talks About Her Family, Chris Brown

The "Umbrella" songstress has a very close relationship with her family. However, she only forgave her dad, Ronald Fenty, for being abusive to her mom, recently. Rihanna admitted that it was a struggle to separate what Fenty was like to her mom, her siblings, and to her.

"He was one of the best fathers. As awful as he was to my mom at times, it didn't compare to how great he was as a father," said Rihanna.

During the same interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2012, Rihanna talked about her failed relationship with Chris Brown. She said that she has already forgiven him for assaulting her three years earlier.

"I have forgiven him. I was angry for a long time... I think he was the love of my life. He was my first love. It was a weird, confusing space to be in. Because as angry as I was, as angry and hurt and betrayed, I just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help..." said Rihanna.

On her 30th birthday, Brown also shared a photo of Rihanna on his social media account. As of now, Rihanna has not yet commented on Brown's post.
