Dua Lipa dedicated the Best British Female Solo Artist recognition she received at the 2018 Brit Awards to women who are taking over the world.

Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown and Kylie Minogue presented the 22-year-old singer with the prestigious award on Wednesday, Feb. 21.

"Thank you so, so much. I am grateful for this and so humbled. I want to thank every single female that has been on this stage before me and has given girls like me a place to be inspired by and [someone to] look up to and allow us to dream. Here's to more women on these stages, winning these awards and taking over the world," said Lipa.

Dua Lipa Talks About 'New Rules'

Other than her recent recognition at the 2018 Brit Awards, Lipa is also enjoying the success of her track "New Rules." The singer performed the song at the awards show. Last year, Lipa said that the "New Rules" music video propelled her success in the United States.

"Everyone was reposting it and sending it to their friends, and I was just like, 'What is happening?' Like, the views were just soaring, and that's just never happened before. It was like rocket fuel for the song," said Lipa.

Lipa revealed that she came up with the concept for the music video of "New Rules." The singer said that she is very proud of it, and she somehow knew that fans would be attracted to the clip.

"I just didn't expect it to do this. Like, I thought people were gonna like it, but I didn't know it was gonna become a meme," said Lipa.

Lipa began her music career when she was just 14 years old. In 2015, she signed with Warner Music Group. She released her self-titled album two years later. Some of her other hit songs include "IDGAF," "Be The One," "Blow Your Mind," and "Hotter Than Hell."
