Rihanna may soon star in a new project. Her fans could not contain their excitement after the singer shared a cryptic photo on her social media account this week.

The photo looks quite odd at first glance. Inside a darkened room are two television sets. One shows the singer wearing a piece of gold jewelry. The second one depicts television noise.

In her caption, the singer simply used a line from her "Needed You" song. The track is included in the singer's ANTI album.

As of late, details about Rihanna's ninth studio album are still being kept under wraps. The singer's latest project, ANTI, was released in 2016.

The songs featured in ANTI are "Consideration," "James Joint," "Kiss It Better," "Work," "Desperado," "Woo," "Needed Me," "Yeah, I Said It," "Same Ol' Mistakes," "Never Ending," "Love on the Brain," "Higher," and "Close To You."

Rihanna's 9th Studio Album

The upcoming album is rumored to be called R9. No tracklist has been confirmed yet, but Rihanna reportedly registered two song titles on ASCAP. If the rumors will prove to be true, the first two singles from the forthcoming album are called "Phatty" and "Only One Who Knows."

"Phatty" is a collaboration between Rihanna and Buju Banton, a popular reggae artist. "Only One Who Knows," on the other hand, is Rihanna's solo track. Another song called "Louvre" had been linked to Rihanna's album earlier this year, but the singer denied it.

Rihanna's Coachella Attire

Rihanna also made headlines after last weekend's appearance at Coachella. The singer was spotted in her transparent Y/Project custom Chrome Hearts attire and her face-covering balaclava, which made it almost impossible for her to be recognized by her fans.

Jahleel Weaver, the creative director of Fenty, explained what Rihanna's Coachella style was all about.

"Coachella should always be fun and disruptive. We had such a moment last year with the Gucci crystal bodysuit and mask, so how do we top that?" said Weaver.

Rihanna first chanced upon the balaclava in February during Alessandro Michele's autumn/winter 2018 Gucci show. At the time, the singer and Weaver both knew that the face cover was meant to be worn.

"Ri and I both instantly loved it when it came down the runway. So we started to think of what's the next opportunity to wear this? The Gucci team is so great to us and such a pleasure to work with and they made it happen," said Weaver.
