On last night's episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, alternative rock veterans Weezer stopped by to perform their new single "Back to the Shack" from their upcoming, much-hyped album Everything Will Be Alright In The End. You can check out the performance below. "Back to the Shack" was shared on Monday, July 21, and as for what Music Times thinks of the song itself, you can read our review of it right here.

Among the numerous self-referential elements of "Back to the Shack" (such as the lines "Pat should play the drums" and "Rockin' out like it's '94"), it's worth pointing out the close-up of the Ace Frehley bobblehead sitting on top of one of the guitar amps, an obvious callback to the band's classic 1994 song "In The Garage," in which frontman Rivers Cuomo sings, "I've got posters on the wall/My favorite rock group Kiss/I've got Ace Frehley/I've got Peter Criss/Waiting there for me/Yes I do." "In The Garage" was my choice for Weezer's greatest song ever when the Music Times staff selected our individual favorites. You can read that list right here.

Everything Will Be Alright In The End will be Weezer's tenth studio album, its first since 2010's Hurley, and will be released on September 30 through Republic Records. You can check out the band's performance of "Back to the Shack" from The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon below:
