The heavy metal band Metallica has been entertaining fans while in lockdown at home with their previously filmed sold-out concerts. "Metallica: Live in Lima, Peru" is part of their #MetallicaMondays concert series and was shown earlier at 8 pm ET. It was filmed at Estadio Nacional in Lima, Peru, on March 20, 2014.

The setlist is "bonkers" and "too much metal" as bandleader and drummer Lars Ulrich says in his introduction before the summer concert is streamed over their official YouTube official channel and the band's official Facebook page. The "Metallica: Live in Lima, Peru" virtual streaming started at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT. It will continue to be available on-demand over YouTube. It is the tenth set presented by the iconic group, and their diehard fans curated the setlist through online voting, which was titled "Metallica By Request."

"Metallica: Live in Lima, Peru" is the third show from the 2014 Metallica By Request tour. The full-performance features the 18-track set, which is as follows:

It also had encores of "Creeping Death," "Hit the Lights," and "Seek and Destroy." The final unique setlist can be streamed over again on YouTube.

#MetallicaMondays kicked off its weekly concert series on March 23, 2020, with "Metallica: Live at Slane Castle," which happened on June 8, 2019. With the coronavirus spread that prevented large gatherings around the world, the band joined the long list of postponed or canceled concert tours.

Launching the streamed concerts was not only the band's effort to keep in touch with the fans who would have wanted to see them perform live. The filmed shows are also their platform to raise donations fr their foundation, "All Within My Hands." Generated funds are directed to hunger and other COVID-19 needs.

"Month of Giving"

On May 5, the band announced that the entire month of May 2020 was dedicated to how their foundation will help out four non-profit organizations that are at the forefront in supporting COVID-19 relief efforts. Metallica called it the "Month of Giving," which is in line in with their #GivingTuesdaysNow charity work.

The beneficiaries of the band's foundation work are Feeding America, CrewNation, United States Bartenders Guild Foundation, and Direct Relief.
