Today, June 26, Selena Gomez releases a new collaboration with singer and songwriter, Trevor Daniel, titled 'Past Life.' Meanwhile, Selena's "past" Justin Bieber, reappears because of alleged sexual assault.
On June 20, after Trevor Daniel posted a photo of him wearing a merch of Gomez, fans assumed that they are working on a song together and their suspicions happened to be true. Five days after, Gomez posted a 30-second video of her with Daniel. They talked about what the song means to her. She said it represents her (old) patterns, and her holding on to something. She added that she has been very open about her experiences. This includes making decisions that may not necessarily be healthy for her "Past Life," together with Daniel's prominent song "Falling," is part of his recent album, "Nicotine." Meanwhile, Gomez's 'past,' Justin Bieber, caught public attention anew because of a Twitter user's viral post. This user claims she was sexually assaulted by Bieber in a hotel in Austin, Texas, on March 9, 2014. Screenshots about the information of the alleged assault were posted on Popcrave twitter account after her account has been deactivated. "I told him that this was going too far and that we should stop because I felt guilty about Selena," she posted. "That's when he told me: 'Relax, they're all okay," she further claimed. Another user also confessed that Bieber assaulted her on the evening of May 4, 2015, but stayed silent because it might ruin her family's reputation. She also feared not being able to get married. "He started kissing me, touching my body and caressing me," she wrote. "I asked him to stop and continued to say that I cannot have sex with anyone prior to my marriage." He added that he has been through many complaints in his entire career but usually does not address such until he spoke with his wife and team. He says that "rumors are nothing but rumors," but sexual abuse is something he should not take lightly. To prove his innocence, he tweeted and repeatedly mentioned Gomez, asserting that he was with his then-girlfriend back in May 2015. Many raised their eyebrows for Bieber's repeated inclusion of Gomez, making her an alibi to the issue, after the "emotional chaos" she had suffered. She claims Bieber caused the distress. Meanwhile, Bieber claims that it might be the same person behind the accusations. He said he will sue Jane Does $10 million for each of what he says is a 'malicious' story. He added that he has evidence that the sexual allegations are just "outrageous, fabricated lies." Gomez had not posted any official statement regarding Bieber's claim of being with her when the supposed assaults allegedly took place. Instead, she is continually promoting her collaboration with Trevor Daniel on Twitter.
