BTS broke another Hanteo Chart record - just like how they do in other music charts.

The K-pop boy group BTS added more records under their belt by smoothly topping a Hanteo Chart category.

This week, the Hanteo Chart released their "Hanteo Global K-pop Report: 2021 Semi-annual Summary" and saw the group on the top spot again.

BTS specifically scored first place in its Global Index K-pop report where the chart measures the "power" of a group's fans. It calculates the score by authenticating the albums bought by people around the globe.

Compared to last year, Hanteo's album authentication for the first half of 2021 alone saw a 50.2 percent increase. Fans from over 119 countries reportedly authenticated their K-pop albums - a number that is much higher than the 96 countries of last year.

BTS ranked first among the 346 albums authenticated. Following them on the list are ATEEZ, NCT Dream, Monsta X, and Treasure.

The record was truly surprising, especially since BTS has not released any full-length album in the first period.

Hanteo Chart mentioned that the group's most authenticated albums include "BE: Deluxe Edition," "BE: Essential Edition," "Map of the Soul: Persona," "Love Yourself: Tear" and "Love Yourself: Answer."

More BTS Surprise!

The new milestone came a few hours after they released a 30-second teaser of their new song "Permission to Dance."

BTS worked with Steve Mac, Jenna Andrews, and Stephen Kirk - who serve as the producers - for the song. Andrews and Mac also collaborated with Ed Sheeran and Johnny McDaid to write it.

On June 27, Sheeran appeared in an interview with Most Requested Live where he expressed his excitement for the collaboration.

"I've actually worked with BTS on their last record, and I've just written a song for their new record. And they're like super, super cool guys as well," he said.

The two powerhouses worked together for the "Map of the Soul: Persona" track "Make It Right."

BTS shocked the world with "Butter" - the track that led them to four new world records. Upon its release, the K-pop band earned records for Most Viewers for a YouTube Premiere, Most Viewed Music Video On YouTube in 24 Hours, Most-Streamed Song on Spotify In Its First 24 Hours, and Most-Streamed Group on Spotify.
